What is the purpose of the L.I.F.E. Building?

God  has blessed our church over the past several years with many "Growing Pains." Our current facility is being used to the maximum potential. We have two services on Sunday morning and three L.I.F.E. Group hours to meet the growing need. A L.I.F.E. Building would double our current L.I.F.E. Group class capability and provide a Youth Ministry meeting area, a gym that offers unlimited outreach and ministry opportunities, and a full-service kitchen for ministry use.

How will a L.I.F.E. Building help us reach our community for Christ?

Our current ministries will be able to expand to reach more people with the gospel through outreach events, activities, and fellowship, in a more spacious facility. Often ministry ideas and events never move past the idea stage because our current facility has limited use. The potential to do more outreach events and ministry functions would now be possible.

What will the L.I.F.E. Building offer us?

  • An additional 24,000 square feet of space (double our current facility size)
  • 19 additional classrooms for multi-use
  • Gymnasium for outreach and ministry activities
  • Full-service kitchen
  • Youth Center
  • Showers for men and women
  • Temporary auditorium to seat 800+ for future phasing needs and special events

How will we pay for this project?

Everything that CRBC has been able to accomplish up to this point has been because the Lord has been gracious to us. If God has led the leadership of the church with this plan, then He is preparing all of us to accomplish it together. With our cash resources on hand, good stewardship of our daily ministry expenses, and the faithful giving commitments from our people, we will be able to accomplish this goal.

How can I help?

First and foremost, we must pray. We must stand together united through prayer throughout the entire building process. This plan will only be accomplished through our faith and sacrifice. We all participate by keeping the goal before us and sharing the responsibility together.

How can I determine what my commitment should be?

Begin by praying now about God's will concerning your financial commitment to the need. For your convenience, this giving chart has been included to make it easier to estimate your total gift over the three-year time period.

Will I be asked to make my commitment public?

No, your commitment is confidential. We ask that you do turn in your commitment card so that we can track how we are doing on commitments towards reaching the goal.

What about my regular giving?

Your commitment to the Building Fund should be an amount that God leads you to give over and above your regular weekly/monthly giving. We must maintain our commitment to the Church Ministry Budget to accomplish what we are currently doing to reach people with the Gospel now.

When do I make my commitment?

February 11th will be our kickoff of the Building Fund. We ask you to bring your completed commitment card that Sunday.

When do the commitments start?

We will begin giving to this Building Fund on February 11, 2007. We want to get off to a strong start, so we are asking that you give as much as you possibly can of your commitment on that Sunday.

Can I change my commitment?

Yes, because the future for all of us is uncertain. Some will be blessed so that we can increase our commitment. Circumstances beyond our control may cause us to lower our commitment to the Building Fund. This commitment is between you and the Lord. Each year you will have the opportunity to renew your commitment for the following year.

Why don't we just borrow enough money to build?

We believe that remaining debt free is God's will for our church right now. Acquiring debt would reduce our ability to do outreach events like Walk Through Bethlehem because the monthly loan burden would be so great.

What if we raise the needed funds to build the L.I.F.E. Building before the three years?

Praise the Lord! We can begin construction when we have the funds to build.

Can I give stocks, bonds, assets, or mutual funds to the building fund?

Yes. In some situations there are advantages to giving this way. Contact our financial office so that we can advise you on this. Call the main church office.
