Pastor Larry Luffman

Single Adults' & Outreach Pastor

Welcome!
Thank you so much for visiting our web site. It is a privilege to share with you a little about the ministries here and I trust that you will visit us real soon and I look forward to meeting you. If I can ever be of help to you in growing in the Bible, knowing more about our ministries here, or attending CrossRoads, please call on me.

Getting to know the Luffman family
Melissa and I grew up in a small town in Virginia. We were high school sweethearts and got married at the young age of twenty. We had been married for eight years when we moved to Florida in 1999 to attend Bible College to prepare us for ministry in my desire to pastor a church. After eleven years of not being able to have children we decided to adopt. In 2002 we traveled to Peru only to be denied and told to return home. We were heart broken and devastated but then one month later, Melissa got pregnant with Abigail! What a surprise and a blessing!

As you can see, our family has grown a little since then. After spending time with the children of Peru and our heart still desired to have more children, especially from Peru, we started the process again and left in August of 2008 to adopt our twins, Peyton and Leah. We spent twenty two day there and our desire to still have more children was finally met. We are so thankful for what Christ has done in our family.

My family and I have been a part of the ministry here at CrossRoads since the fall of 2004. It is a privilege and a blessing to be a part of a ministry that impacts the lives of others through Christ! We have seen the ministry grow by leaps and bounds over the years, not to mention our own spiritual growth since arriving on staff. Lives are being changed, the gospel is being preached, Christ is exalted, and the Bible is preeminent here. My family and I love serving and being a part of the CrossRoads family.

Some ministries I am over
Single Adults’ Ministry – Five different single adult classes to meet the needs of the single adult.
Outreach Ministries – Consists of many facets but our biggest one is called “Walk Through Bethlehem.”
Bus Ministry – Weekly visitation of route, signing up new riders, and bringing them in on Sunday.
Pastoral Care – Hospital visits, shut-ins, surgeries, prayer list, and making personal visits to guests.
Van Ministry – Providing transportation for those who cannot drive or have minimal disabilities.
Ushers – They are an up front ministry that assists guests and helps locate available seating.
Greeters – They usually are the first ones you meet and assist in getting information into people’s hands.

These are just a few ministries that I am pastor over and along with the other pastors, we wear many hats but are happy to help you in any way we can. If you have any questions about the ministries that I am over or any ministries that we my offer, please contact me. Again, thank you for taking the time to visit us on the web.
